Oh Bed Rest...

So... I'm sitting here, 27.5 weeks pregnant with baby Alexis, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to be doing for the next 8.5-12.5 weeks that are left in this pregnancy, since I was just put on bed rest, til further notice.

This is going to be quite the struggle for me. For anyone who knows me, I am not an in-door person. It's going to drive me nuts being in bed so much. It's only officially day 1 and all I really want to do is get out of this house. I feel fine for a bit, think I'm starting to feel alright, then stand up and am greeted with SHARP SHOOTING/ STABBING pain in my pelvis, quickly reminding me why I'm on bed rest in the first place.

I can't wait for this weekend. Since I'm officially in the 3rd trimester, traveling just isn't advised, so I'll be taking my "last hoorah" get-away with Nicholas at Lake Mead, this weekend. I can't wait to just get away from here and enjoy 5 whole days with my love. Although, I'll be laying down, doing the same thing out by the lake, the change of scenery will be JUST what I need.

I'm hoping the weather will be nice so we can take some good pictures from a beach or from the boat (okay- I will leave the bed/couch, but still just lay down for the most part). I've avoided taking any pictures this entire time and I think I'm ready to change that up. I want to have some good pictures around at my shower, May 15th. :)

I've always had such great times at the lake... it's crazy to think that next time we head out that way, we'll have our lil princess with us!



Can't wait to get away... but also, can't wait to come home and start to put Lexi's nursery together. I can't wait to see it all put together... It's still just unbelievable to me that Nick and I are going to be parents!! 2010 has DEFINITELY become a year of ASTRONOMICAL changes. Can't wait to meet this little girl coming into our lives...
