So- I've heard of weird pregnancy dreams before and how they can be quite strange, but wow! I did not expect that things would be like this!!
Last night, I had not one, but TWO strange dreams just last night! The first was one that Nick and I got engaged. See, I have the upmost faith in Nick to ask me in a fun and unique way that is sure to sweep me off my feet. I really don't think he'd EVER let me down in that department, or in the ring department, for that matter... afterall, it'll be on my finger as long as I live. Also, it should be noted that 95% of my day is spent thinking about Nick and Alexis... and how my life will be once she is here. :)
So, here it goes!! The first dream was about Nick proposing to me! I was at home just sitting there and Nick walks up to me, pulls out a ring and asks me to marry him. He doesn't get down on one knee. He doesn't do ANYTHING to make it memorable or special... and he does it just like it's no big deal- pulls out the ring box, asks me, then opens it.... and it's empty, then he reaches in his pocket and pulls out about 5 rings that are all on a keychain type of loop. He said I have to pick one that fits, so I do... When I put it on, he said, it's not the real ring because he wanted to make sure to get me one that fit my sausage fingers. *OH GOSH!! So my pregnant symptoms have now taken over my dreams!!* He just took all the romance and special out of it-- I was floored, but not necessarily in a good way, I guess! My dream ended when I told him that he'd have to ask again with the real ring. Poor guy!
Onto the next dream!!! I gave birth to Alexis and she was HUGE-- i mean, she looked like a 3 month old... I was so sad that I never got the experience of her being tiny. We get her home and then I keep forgetting about her!! I didn't want to feed her because every time I did, she aged like a month. I was making breakfast in the morning when I realized I had forgotten about her again, so I went in the nursery to find her perfectly happy in her bed. I was trying to find a specific outfit for her to wear that day, adn while searching, I guess I wasn't paying attention, AGAIN- and I managed to pile all her clothes on top of her. *What on EARTH is up with these dreams!?* At the end of that dream, I ended up having Nicholas come in and care for her because I kept forgetting all about her.
The last one worried me so much when I woke up. I know that I'll be a good mommy and I'll never forget about her, but that dream was just un REAL!!! I love Nicholas and even though Alexis isn't born yet, I love her so much, too!! I wake up every morning so excited to feel her move around! I am at full-term now, so it's just a waiting game until she gets here now! I am so excited to meet my lil princess! I never EVER thought I'd be where I am today... a year ago. There is nowhere I'd rather be though. I always make the best out of every situation and this baby, although she came at a time we thought was bad... is turning out to be perfect! There is no one I'd rather have a family with than Nick!!
On a side note, yesterday was Fathers Day! I got Nick a soon-to-be-a-daddy card and then we walked around Ikea and Home Depot, before heading over to his Uncle Danny's house and Ferrell's with my dad!! :) Such a wonderful day! I love Nick so much. He is going to be the best daddy around!! :)
til next time... :) go check out my other blog, http://www.uniquelychicweddings.blogspot.com/

Full Term!
The day I've been waiting for since I found out I was pregnant!! I am officially full term tomorrow!!!!!! That means, NO MORE BED REST and Lexi is developed enough to enter this world safely and be healthy!!! :) This is the most exciting news ever!!
So, yesterday-- and this whole week-- I've been getting things ready to start my other blog, for everything weddings and engagements! :0 I am so excited to get it up and going!!
Yesterday, I spend time sorting through proposal stories. There are so many amazing stories out there. I can't wait to have my own story to share. I feel bad for Nick. I have been so obsessed with weddings and proposal stories for YEARS, so he definitely feels the pressure for when he decides to pop the question. He really doesn't need to worry though. Proposals aren't about how much he spends-- it's about making it personal and meaningful. I love Nick, so however he decides to ask, my answer will always be the same!
Last night, before we went to bed, I was telling him about this video that was a fail... Guys-- don't EVER tie the real ring to a balloon!! That's just a disaster waiting to happen! Also, make it personal. If I was his girl, I would have been like... really?! This is one of the most memorable days of your life and you put no thought into it?! Like I said, it doesn't have to be a huge production where you spend lots of money to make it amazing, but it should come from the heart and be thoughtful memorable. This poor man in the "fail" video really needed the help of a professional planner to help carry out the perfect proposal.
On to other things, last night was AMAZING!! My beloved Lakers FINALLY beat Boston in the NBA finals! It wasn't the greatest game-- but a win is a win!! I couldn't be more proud of my boys!!! I love the Lakers! They are champions. I wish I could have been at the game to see them take the Celtics down in person!!! Although, I really wish that fans had the same sportsmanship that the players have! Riots are just retarded!!! Why would you damage someone's property in a CELEBRATION?! Celebrations are supposed to be happy times... not destructive!! What's wrong with you, people!? Is going to jail really worth it?? Also-- catching a taxi on fire, real classy. Not only did you damage someone's property beyond repair, you took someone's JOB from them!! That is someone's way to earn an income. They made nothing last night, thanks to you crazy "fans".
okay, that's all the rants I have from last night!! GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!
and now, the final weeks are HERE!!! Lexi, please come! I'm done feeling you kick and move around in my tummy. I can't wait for you to meet the world and let me hold you in my arms and show you off to the world! :) SOOOO excited to be in the FINAL weeks!!!

4 1/2 weeks!!!
So, FINALLY- I have an official induction date!! If Lexi doesn't choose to come early by herself, she'll be here on July 14th!! I really wanted her to be here earlier, but this way is better seeing that she'll be healthier and more ready to meet the world this way. I can't wait to meet my little girl!! This has been the longest wait EVER and I can't wait for it to be over.
This last week has been full of new things... not fun things- but new, nonetheless. Swollen fingers and feet. AGH!!! Oh and hello new stretch marks on my tummy. Those 3 new purple-ish lines stretching down my belly are not my idea of cute. I hope they are discrete when I get back to pre-baby shape! I guess all of this suffering will be fun when I get to meet my baby girl for the first time.
Well, since this is all words, I'm going to keep it short. I will post more in a bit. I've been so blessed lately with the people in my life and a healthy pregnancy. Now, I just need to focus on these LAST TWO WEEKS of bed rest, then I'll try to run, walk, massage, eat... everything to help baby come along before pitocin is necessary on the 14th.
Come on, Alexis!!! :)

countdown...
So, after my dr's appt tomorrow, I'll have a countdown started til Lexi's arrival. This pain is driving me bonkers and Lexi is sitting really low, which makes me think she'll come early on her own, but I just want a garuntee that I will be out of pain as soon as humanly (and safely) possible!! Lexi will be considered, by doctors, full-term on June 20th, so I'm hoping and praying that my doctor will induce on either the 24th or 25th, so Nick won't miss as much work, being a 3-day weekend for him. Having her here would be the best birthday present EVER, if she came before my bday, July 3rd. I'd be able to dress her up and take her to the 4th of July block party at my aunt and uncles house in Huntington, too... that would be SOO fun!! :)
Last Saturday, May 15th, was my shower and I had a blast and couldn't have more generous friends and family. I think Lexi is basically set, clothes-wise, til NEXT YEAR! haha... and I don't know if I'll ever have to buy her a stuffed animal or blanket! :) I really wish that i had pictures from the shower to share, but I haven't seen them yet, so I'll wait til someone gets them to me somehow... I think Caitlin and Tiana have pictures... and seeing that Caitlin FINALLY welcomed baby Gavin to this world today, I think she'll have her hands VERY full for a while!
The day before my shower, Nick and I went to FloJo park with my baby sister, Rachyl, and got some pictures taken... I'll post those up instead! :) I really hope things go my way and I get to welcome my baby girl into this world a month from today. She is going to be the biggest blessing to my life. I can't wait to meet her. She's definitely loved by so many already!! :)
Before I leave you with pictures, I thought I'd update on the remodel... it's ALMOST finished!!!!!!! We've got the walls painted, carpet picked out, canned lighting in, fan purchased (waiting to be installed), windows bought (also in the garage waiting to be installed)... and baseboards in!!! All that's left to do is order the closet doors and carpet, then we can move back into our room and finish the nursery. We need to order the closet doors this week, for sure, since they take 2 weeks to arrive.. then the carpet next week, I guess. We are getting down to the line and definitely running out of time before Lexi is here... Luckily, she'll be sleeping with us at the beginning... for the first 4-6 weeks. :)
and now... pictures... ENJOY!!

Day 11!!!
So today, I finally gave in and decided to take a "tummy pic"... hope my friends are happy now! :) I made it 29 weeks completely avoiding the cameras, but now- there's no hiding it...

I'll be in pictures in just a couple weeks for my shower and maternity photos that Rachyl is taking! I kind of still really want to get pictures taken the day before the shower, so I'll be showing more for the pictures, so now Nick and I need to steal Rachyl and head to the park for pictures. :) ...then just be speedy fast getting pictures developed so they can be framed and displayed at the shower.
I don't know if it's just me getting stir crazy, or me starting to "nest" but I really want to get things moving in the remodel of Nick and Lexi's room... well, remodel Nick's room... just replace formal dining with nursery items in Alexis' room. I also want the individual letters spelling A-L-E-X-I-S to paint and hang in her room... maybe Rachyl can make those too... :)
I'm so excited that it's FINALLY FRIDAY!! We are kicking off the weekend with the lakers game! To go along with my mood today, I found some random pictures that cracked me up all day long... I hope you enjoy looking at 'em!! :) Have a great weekend, everyone!! xoxo

day 10!! RIP to a wonderful father and footballer!!
Oh man... getting away and spending thursday through Tuesday night at Lake Mead was perfect!! I couldn't have asked for better weather or anything more- RELAXING. Coming home, on the other hand... not so cool! I love being un-contactable out at the lake, but coming back this time meant a slew of good and horrible news.
Just need to take this time to say RIP to Ian Lawther. My heart and prayers go out to Katie and her entire family. I am soooo thankful that I had the opportunity to meet your dad and have some memories of my own... I will never eat a percy pig without thinking about that time driving home from Swindon and nearly dying when Ian turned the wrong way down a 1-way road... causing Kay and I both to choke to death on those little percy pig candies....

Ian Lawther was such an amazing person- and his stories... wow!! Here is a little "bio" I came across online. nifootball.blogspot.com/2007/01/ian-lawther.html ... he was loved by many- and will be remembered forever. RIP.
I can't believe my shower is coming up sooo soon!! It's in 2.5 weeks and it seems that all the things that could go wrong-- are now. I love Tiana and absolutely love everything she has done for me so far. She is putting so much effort into throwing this shower and now there are last minute changes with my mom trying to help (but seeming to step on toes, unintentionally) and Nat not making the cake-- OR even showing up for the shower now. I am soooo thankful for my mom, Danielle, and T working together to throw what I know will be a fabulous shower. I can't wait to finally celebrate with everyone! Kay- I wish you all the best in your trip to England. You'll definitely be in my thoughts!! LOVE YOU!!!
I can't believe how much life has changed in the last year. A year ago, I never could have imagined that I'd be LIVING with Nick... getting ready for our baby girl to get here. I always knew I wanted 2 kids... but thought waiting til I was closer to 30 would be a great time to start... Even though things definitely didn't go to plan, I really couldn't imagine it going any better than it has. I have the MOST supportive man by my side and I really can't wait to see him turn from just boyfriend to daddy!! He is going to be such a great father. 2 friends have now had their lil ones... 2 more to go before me!!! Caitlin and Shannon are next. I can't WAIT to see their lil ones!! :) It's crazy how much life changes in a year... but I really couldn't be happier right now. :)

day 2!... cravings!!
Okay! So this is officially day #2 of bed rest and I am doing alright. I am going to add pictures today... random and fun ones... ENJOY!! I had cravings like crazy though! I woke up with this strong urge to run. I have no idea why, other than the fact that I CAN'T, that I wanted to. I haven't wanted to run this entire pregnancy- til today.

Doesn't THIS look appealing!?!?
A few hours after that, I HAD to have a Burrito, so I texted my dad and he picked me up 15 minutes later. Cravings are new to me... I mean, I get my cravings for yogurtland and I usually just ignore them, but today- I would not be happy until I got my bean, rice, and chicken burrito. haha... I'm losing my MARBLES I think!!!!

But, seriously- doesn't this look amazing!?
haha, alright- so moving on... Nick and I aren't yet married and I can't help but let my mind wander to my idea of "the perfect wedding" with him... I think we'll get married in the next couple years. I just want something pretty and fun!! I always thought I wanted our wedding colors to be black, white, and red... but now, and lately, I am totally sold on Tiffanys Blue, White, and Khaki!! Those colors together are just amazing... and practically SCREAM beach wedding!!!
So- I got to looking. uh-oh!!! I should be stopped. SERIOUSLY. Take a look... LOVE 'em!!!

I think my mind is definitely made up now- that I want my bridesmaids to wear knee-length tiffany blue dresses... boys in khaki pants and white shirts... boys in rainbows and girls in simple white sandals... ceremony to take place under a bamboo arch with a white drape... simple, elegant. White Lillies for flowers... with some sort of accent. Sounds good to me... BTW, while I'm on bed rest, I'm getting my wedding and event planning website/ blog up and going. If you know anyone getting married, send 'em my way! I'd love to help plan their perfect day!!! :)
